Terms of Use

1. Agreement to these terms

CareFinderMap (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Oklahoma Senior Placement, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), an Oklahoma limited liability company. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Ownership of the Site and its contents

The Site and everything we have created for it are our property and are protected by United States copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. This includes, without limitation:

• the written descriptions, summaries, and guides published on the Site;
• our community ratings, the methodology behind them, and the analysis, categorization, and commentary we apply to inspection records;
• the selection, arrangement, coordination, and compilation of the community directory as a whole, which constitutes a protectable compilation under 17 U.S.C. § 103;
• photographs, images, maps, page layouts, design, graphics, and the CareFinderMap name and logo; and
• the software, source code, and underlying structure of the Site.

Some underlying facts on the Site come from public records, including inspection and licensing data published by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Individual public facts are not owned by anyone. Our compilation, selection, arrangement, analysis, ratings, and written content are ours, and your use of the Site is governed by these Terms regardless of the origin of any particular fact.

3. What you may do

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use the Site for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of researching senior care options for yourself or a family member. Health care professionals, discharge planners, and social workers may also use the Site to assist an individual patient or client. You may print or save individual pages for that purpose.

4. Prohibited uses

Except as expressly permitted above, you may not, without our prior written permission:

• Copy or reproduce any portion of the Site, its content, its ratings, or its directory, in whole or in part, in any medium;
• Scrape, crawl, harvest, or data-mine the Site, or use any robot, spider, bot, script, scraper, headless browser, or other automated means to access, read, copy, index, or collect content or data from the Site;
• Republish, distribute, sell, license, sublicense, rent, or transfer any portion of the Site or its content, or make it available to any third party;
• Create derivative works from, or build a competing directory, database, listing service, or product using, any portion of the Site or its content;
• Bulk download or systematically retrieve content to create a collection, compilation, or database, whether or not for commercial purposes;
• Frame, mirror, or embed the Site or its pages within another site, or present our content as your own;
• Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, rate-limiting, or access-control feature of the Site, or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
• Use the Site or any contact information obtained from it to send unsolicited commercial messages, or to solicit the communities listed; or
• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

Automated access is prohibited whether or not it is technically blocked, and whether or not it complies with our robots.txt file. We reserve the right to block any user, device, or network that violates this section.

5. About our ratings

Ratings and related commentary published on the Site are our opinion. They reflect our good-faith interpretation of publicly available state inspection and licensing records as of the date we reviewed them, applied through our own methodology. They are not statements of fact about any community, and they are not a guarantee, endorsement, certification, accreditation, or warranty of the quality of care any community provides.

Public records may be incomplete, delayed, superseded, or corrected after we review them, and a community’s circumstances may change at any time. We encourage every family to tour a community, speak with its staff and residents, and review the current state inspection record directly before making a placement decision. If you believe information about a community is inaccurate or out of date, contact us and we will review it.

6. No warranty; information is provided as-is

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that pricing, availability, bed counts, care types, amenities, or inspection information are complete or current.

7. Not professional advice

Nothing on the Site is medical, legal, financial, or tax advice, and using the Site does not create a professional relationship. Placement guidance we provide is informational and does not replace the judgment of a physician, attorney, or financial professional.

8. Communities and third-party links

Senior living communities listed on the Site are independent businesses that we do not own, operate, or control. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, services, or care provided by any community, or for the content of any third-party website we link to. Listing a community is not an endorsement of it.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Oklahoma law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of your use of or inability to use the Site or its content.

10. Enforcement

We actively monitor for unauthorized copying and automated collection. Violations of these Terms may result in termination of access and in legal action, including claims for copyright infringement, breach of contract, and any other remedies available at law or in equity, together with injunctive relief.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision, and your continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of it.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of the Site or these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma.
