The Renaissance of Stillwater had two state visits in the last two years. The October 22, 2025 complaint investigation - into a serious allegation about protecting residents from sexual abuse - ended with no deficiencies cited, and the surveyor specifically noted that residents were interacting appropriately, that no one seemed fearful or uncomfortable, and that spontaneous conversations with residents were all positive. Two weeks earlier, though, the regular licensure survey did cite the kitchen: many opened items had no open or use-by date, some food was not sealed, leftovers were not disposed of per policy, and two cartons of strawberries had a white mold-type substance on them. In its plan of correction the center in-serviced its culinary team and set daily audits for two weeks followed by random audits, and a state follow-up confirmed it was back in compliance as of December 15, 2025.
